Tommy Lee posts full frontal nude selfies on Instagram virul pics

Tommy Lee has inadvertently started a debate about Instagram's censorship rules after he posted a photo of his penis to his account - which remained on the site for more than four hours.

In the early hours of Thursday morning, Motley Fool Crew drummer Lee posted a shot of his full body that included his genitals, and the rocker quickly became a trending topic on social media.

While many expressed surprise at the photo, others were quick to point out that female bodies are often taken down by Instagram, with many sharing their experiences of censorship.

At the time of this writing, Lee's Instagram post was still live, along with the caption "Ooooopppsss".

Lee also posted two other photos around the same time that dealt with phallic subjects. Thousands of people commented on the photo, including Lee's wife Brittany Furlan.

"Oh my god," wrote Lee's wife, while internet celebrity Danielle Mack joked: "How long will this last."

While the image itself became a topic of discussion, Lee's post raised further questions about what breaks Instagram's community guidelines. On the subject of nudity posted on their social media platforms, Instagram states:

While Lee's photo appears to be breaking Instagram's rules and was eventually removed, the fact that it was still live for four hours after it was posted was discussed by many online.
