Officers have identified the three victims killed in Sunday's Indiana mall shooting, their troubled killer and the hero who saw them shot - and possibly saved countless others from being shot.

An Indianapolis husband and wife identified as Pedro Pineda, 56, and Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda, 37, as well as Victor Gomez, 30, were identified when Jonathan Sapirman hit shoppers inside the Greenwood Park mall shortly before 6 p.m. But when he opened fire, he was seriously injured. Police and the local coroner announced Monday.

Greenwood Police Chief James Iason told a news conference that 20-year-old Sapirman was also killed when a legally armed man shopped at a mall with his girlfriend.

That shopkeeper, 22-year-old Elisha Dicken of Seymour, shot and killed Sapirman with a pistol two minutes after the shooting began.
