Paul Sorvino passes away: 'Goodfellas', 'Law & Order' actor, father of Mira Sorvino turns 83

Paul Sorvino, who starred in Martin Scorsese's Goodfellas and the opening season of the NBC series Law & Order, died today of natural causes after suffering health issues over the years. He was 83.

His death was announced by his publicist, Roger Neal, on behalf of Sorvino's wife, Dee Di Sorvino, who accompanied him as he passed.

Paul Anthony Sorvino was born in Brooklyn on April 13, 1939, and starred in films such as Goodfellas, Nixon, Dick Tracy, The Rocketeer, For the Love of Money, That Championship Season, Reds, A Touch of Class, and Oh, God did. among many others. On television he starred in seasons 2 and 3 of Law & Order, and that championship season on Broadway.

Apart from his wife, he has children Mira, Amanda and Michael and 5 grandchildren.
