Jennifer Lawrence: reveals two miscarriages, criticizes Hollywood pay gap

Jennifer Lawrence revealed in a new cover story to Vogue that she suffered miscarriages twice before giving birth to her son.

The Oscar winner said she became pregnant in her early 20s and "had an abortion alone in Montreal" before she could have an intended abortion.

Lawrence became pregnant again and had a second miscarriage during the filming of Adam McKay's Netflix comedy Don't Look Up.

She then had to undergo a surgical procedure to remove tissue from her uterus.

Lawrence exposed abortion while discussing her uproar on the Supreme Court to overturn Roe v. Wade.

The actor's home state of Kentucky banned abortion after the ruling, sparking a rift in Lawrence's Republican family that began when Donald Trump became president.

Lawrence was able to have a baby due to a medical procedure, and she resented the fact that young girls across America now face limited choices.

I remember a million times thinking about it while I was pregnant," said Lawrence.
