According to the police, the accident happened at 10:55 am on Friday in the Mar Vista area of LA.
A Los Angeles Police Department spokesman said, "The vehicle was heading east on Preston Way at high speed, entered the T intersection at Preston Way and Walgrove Avenue, ran off the road and collided with a residence in the 1700 block of Walgrove .
Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department said, "It took 65 minutes for firefighters to reach, confine and completely extinguish the stubborn flames within the heavily damaged structure."
Several local outlets later confirmed that the Blue Mini Clubman involved in the incident was registered at Heche.
As firefighters used a cable from a large tow truck to pull the car out of the burning house, the vehicle's charred top lead Mandel, a veteran of several such incidents, said, "If there's anyone alive it's A miracle is going to happen."
