Odisha country’s biggest rail accident, more than 261 dead
INDIA/ Odisha/ The country and the world became numb with the news of the death of at least 261 railway passengers in India’s biggest and worst train accident in two-three decades. This most gruesome train accident has taken everyone by surprise as it is the biggest death toll of the century.
The reasons for this train accident have not yet been ascertained for sure, for what reasons this train accident happened? Was it human error? Can this be called a technical error? The question is still standing on this point.
Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnav on Saturday reached the accident site in Odisha’s Balasore to take stock of the situation and assured a detailed high-level inquiry.

दो-तीन दशकों में भारत के सबसे बड़े और भीषण ट्रेन हादसे में कम से कम 261 रेल यात्रियों की मौत की खबर से देश और दुनिया सुन्न हो गई. इस सबसे भीषण ट्रेन हादसे ने सभी को हैरान कर दिया है क्योंकि यह सदी का सबसे बड़ा मौत का आंकड़ा है।
इस रेल दुर्घटना के कारणों का अभी तक पक्का पता नही चल पाया कि किन कारणों से यह रेल दुर्घटना घटना घटी ? क्या यह मानवीय भूल थी? क्या यह एक तकनीकि .त्रुटी कही जा सकती है? इस बात पर अभी सवाल जैसा का तैसा खडा है।
रेल मंत्री अश्विनी वैष्णव शनिवार को स्थिति का जायजा लेने के लिए ओडिशा के बालासोर में दुर्घटना स्थल पर पहुंचे और विस्तृत उच्च स्तरीय जाॅच कराये जाने का आश्वासन दिया।

The Railway Minister assured that our focus is now on rescue and relief, the investigation of the train accident will be independent, the Commissioner of Railway Safety will also investigate.
What does the first report say?
Preliminary reports from the railway’s signaling control room suggested that the accident could be a result of human error as the train had taken the wrong track minutes before the accident.
It was also found in the investigation
Videos by HT from the signaling control room of the Railway’s Kharagpur division show that the Chennai-bound Coromandel Express took a loop line where a goods train was parked near Bahanagar Bazar station instead of the main line.
It is also visible that four railway tracks including two loop lines are visible.
