Defense spokesman on Sunday said that there is no shortage of trucks carrying essential commodities in violence-hit Manipur and are plying with special cover. So that there is no shortage of salmon.
Army and Assam Rifles along with Manipur Police and Central Armed Police Forces in Imphal are also working for the security of vehicles carrying goods through NH 37 in Imphal.
Manipur Imphal is mostly inhabited by tribal Nagas and Kukis living in the valley and another 40 per cent population living in the hilly districts.
The army is doing its work with utmost importance and is ready and prepared to deal with any untoward incident.
