The meeting was reviewed in relation to

Ratlam 12 October 2022 / Government of India Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Communications, Shri Narendra Agrawal, on Wednesday, took a meeting regarding disaster management in Ratlam district and reviewed it. Collector Shri Narendra Suryavanshi, Superintendent of Police Shri Abhishek Tiwari, Upper Collector Shri M.L. Arya, CEO, District Panchayat Smt. Jamuna Bhide, Municipal Commissioner, Himanshu Bhatt, PWD Executive Engineer Mr. Anurag Singh, PHE Executive Engineer Mr. PK. Gogade, CMHO Dr. Prabhakar Nanavare, SDM Rural Ms. Krutika Bhimavad, Supply Officer Mr. S.H. Choudhary etc. were present.

In the meeting, Joint Secretary Shri Agrawal received information from the officials of Ratlam district about their departmental preparedness and action plan regarding disaster management, feedback was received. Detailed information about disaster management related work in his department was obtained from each officer.

Mr. Aggarwal informed that under the Pen India Project, a disaster management program is being prepared by the Government of India by spending Rs. 70 thousand crores. To make it more effective, field feedback is also being obtained from the districts, necessary inputs are being taken.

In the meeting, information about the disasters likely to be expected in Ratlam district was obtained by Joint Secretary Mr. Agarwal. Collector Shri Narendra Suryavanshi was informed that mainly in Ratlam district, the disaster of flood or excessive rain has been seen or there may be a disaster of arson. In relation to the disaster management action plan of the district, detailed information was given by the Collector to the Joint Secretary.

Superintendent of Police Abhishek Tiwari informed about the communication system of the police department and the devices being used. The joint secretary also inspected the wireless devices being used in the police and municipal departments.

District Home Guard Commandant Ms. Roshni Mandloi informed about the disaster management available with the Home Guards. Executive Engineer Shri Anurag Singh and Shri P.K. Useful suggestion given by Kharat. Information regarding ponds especially Dholawad Dam in Ratlam district was obtained by the Joint Secretary.

Taking information about the effective information system emergency number by the Joint Secretary, instructions were given to the State Disaster Management Agency to provide the above numbers so that there could be strong communication in the event of a disaster. To enable quick exchange of information. He also inquired about disaster management in Ipca factory. In the meeting, the inputs were obtained by him while discussing with the officials of the departments like Police Home Guard, Municipal Corporation, Fire System, Electricity, PWD, Water Resources PHE, Food Supply etc.
