Talks have happened many times in the past, China refuses to back down
According to information received from Sutro, China is building a bridge to reach Rutog in the northern area of the lake. With the construction of this bridge, China will not have to travel 200 km to reach Rutog.
It will reduce about 150 km to reach Rutog. This clearly indicates that China has no plans to withdraw from these areas.
China has occupied since the 1960s. The Indian government has said that where China is building the bridge, it is in its illegal possession since 1960. The Ministry of External Affairs recently said that India has never accepted this illegal occupation.
There has been a standoff between India and China in eastern Ladakh for almost two years. There has also been a violent standoff between the two countries. There have been 14 rounds of talks in India China but the matter does not seem to be resolved yet.
